The premise follows: 'A former child actress seeking enlightenment at a retreat led by a spiritual leader navigates the close but turbulent relationship with her daughter,' per anIMDB synopsis.

'The movie is funny, and I think it is to different degrees, I think the movie is talking about intergenerational baggage and trauma.'

Connelly also discussed her Apple TV+ sci-fi series, Dark Matter, which premiered on the streaming site last month on May 8.

The show not only stars Jennifer, but also Joel Edgerton, Alice Braga, Dayo Okeniyi, Jimmi Simpson and also Oakes Fegley.

The premise of the series follows, perIMDB, 'A man who is abducted into an alternate version of his life.'

'At the center of that show, you have this couple and a man who is thinking about paths not taken and choices he might have made, and how they impacted his life.'

'Like, is he happy? Would he have loved to have done something else? And he kind of navigates those very domestic questions in a very extraordinary way in the sci-fi world. So, I love the way that those two things are kind of brought together...'

While talking toScreen Rantlast month in May, she further opened up about the show and stated, 'I think that it's a portrait of a marriage...'

'And it explores this couple and this man, who is having some doubts and some regrets and insecurities about his work.'

'He's sifting through these domestic issues in this really spectacular landscape of these alternate realities. I thought that was a really smart use of that kind of story, that kind of device, if you will, of an alternate reality show,' she added.

On The View, the Top Gun: Maverick star also reflected on her 2002 Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress for her role in A Beautiful Mind.

'For me, I was floored by it...It's a blur. There was so much, you can't quite take it in. All those people who you've looked up to for so many years, so much talent, it's so overwhelming.'
